a nice one to find Treehugger :)
with the leaves looking like they have smooth edges and not toothed, it looks more like the London Bur Marigold - Bidens connata than the Trifid Bur Marigold ? what do you think ?

plus a few odd flowers still on the Himalayan Balsam, most of it having gone to seed,
with the strange, exploding seed capsules, that always remind me of butterfly chrysalis when I see them, :)

I was able to log on in the early afternoon, but when I tried later in the afternoon, I got a database not accessible error message, I tried again early this morning, but got the same thing, but all seems to be fine now :D

looking closer (much) at it, I do believe you are right Appledumpling :) two things now stand out as being wrong, 1/ the leaves don't appear to have that prominent white central rib of willow herb 2/ there are six petals, where Rosebay Willow herb has only 5 so the only other one I think it might be...

Soapwort

a nice surprise find this morning was this patch of Soapwort, :)
this one being the double flowered variety, Saponaria officinalis, often called Bouncing Bett :)

a point to remember, although they may all be called Willow herbs, they are not necessarily in the same family :D
e:g Great Willow herb is Epilobium hirsutum
while Rosebay Willowherb is Chamerion angustifolium
