hoof print.JPG hoof print2.JPG

we had a walk around the edge of Sherwood this morning,
and saw lots of hoofprints left by Deer, some quite large ones, and some very small ones,
which may have been Muntjac ?? not sure if there are any Muntjac's in the area or not,
but they were to small for Roe or Fallow deer, and its to early for there to be any young deer around i would have thought ?

hoof prints are usually the only sighting i get of deer :(
but it shows there are some in the area,
the small hoof prints may well have been from a Muntjac, as there are supposedly lots of them around Nottinghamshire (figures suggest a population of around a hundred or more in the area including Sherwood !

spotted a few deer tracks at the weekend,
very small, not much larger than my thumb, Muntjac possibly ??
we thought they may have been a young deer, but there was no sign of any larger prints that may have been from the adults,
(the pics make them appear to be much larger than they actually were)
