first signs of Autumn

although there are other signs out there that Autumn is not far away,
these Hazel nuts found this morning show its nearer than we think :roll:

They barely last long enough to turn brown here as the squirrels get them all.

my crab apples are almost ready, a sure sign of Autumn I always think :)

what could be more Autumnal than Blackberries ? :D

this is what I usually think of as the forerunner to Autumn, Rosebay Willowherb,
when those pink flowers turn to seed and start blowing everywhere, you know that summers been and gone :roll:
