Mouse ear ?

walking down this woodland track

we noticed lots of this tiny white flower growing among the short grass among the limestone used for the access road,
its one of the Cerastium family, and i think either Diffusum or arvense, but i really cant make up my mind which one :roll:
almost prostrate in habit,

I dont know either. Have a Collins photographic wildflowers guide but long ago gave up with this lot, such tiny differences.

yes, you need a good eye and lots of experience with these i think, :roll:
maybe if i had taken a sample home and studied it a little closer, i might have had more of an idea :oops:
