some Betony spotted among the long grass today, one I've not seen for a while too,
and just when I only had my phone with me too, which doesn't take very good photos :(

must be the year for them :) its not one ive found many times in the past, but this morning I found quite a few of them :)

Me neither. What soil type do you have there Mal? We are on sand/clay/flint so it might not like those conditions here.

both these finds were found on thin clayey soil overlying limestone,
on the South Yorks / Notts border where the limestone gives way to sandstone, so another couple of miles down the road I might not have spotted any of them :roll:
