Trametes versicolor

plenty of Trametes versicolor about today, mostly old ones though,
with a few fresher looking ones too,

lots about on my walk this afternoon too :)
these were the younger looking ones, most of the others were ald and wizened looking :roll:

you cant really have a day out and not find some turkey tail can you :D

:D no, you're pretty much guaranteed to find some turkeytail on any outing :D

heres one I found yesterday, which I think is also Turkey tail,
slightly different to the one I normally see, as this one was spiralling up a small branch, and not the horizontal tiers I usually see them in.

some odd coloured turkey tail on a pile of old birch today,
with an orange tint to the cap, but the underneath looked like it had some of the hypomyces mould like boletes suffer from,
(it was a orangey yellow too, and stained the fingers yellow :cry:
