Young moorhen

This part of our garden is entirely closed in to prevent rabbit invasion, so this youngster must have flown in. He looks very comfortable but when I tried to take a second shot, he fled to hide under the rhubarb. There are lots of moorhens round here but this is the first we've seen in the garden in 20 years.

we were sat in the visitors centre having a cup of tea at one of the local reserves,
and just outside the window was a bird table, about 6ft high,
and what was sat atop the table ? yes, a Moorhen
not your everyday visitor to the bird table I would think :)
