i just remembered those spiders eggs, and had a quick check to see how they were doing, no noticable change in their appearance as yet, and they have surved a few mor bin emptyings :) so i'm hopeful they will survive and hatch out ok and that they can exit the bin and disperse safely :) spiders eggs...

i'd missed this post too :oops: and only after i'd posted some lichen images and saw them appear in a horizontal row, did i realise something had changed :) a nice improvement i think, as for the portal page, i think its worth sacrificing it for this feature in my view :) the images posted look nice...

Parmelia sulcata ?

another Lichen, found on an oak branch, looking at other images on the web, i thjink this one is probably Parmelia sulcata nice if anyone can confirm or correct this for me :D not sure if the little orange dots are part of the Lichen or something that is growing as a parasite of the lichen ? but oth...

i agree, a great job :) i've just tried it out by uploading an image to the Arachnids secrtion, and it all worked smoothly for me :) i dont see any problem re the image size myself, as it works fine on both my desktop computer and the phone too :) i think it will depend on the quality of the image, ...

you would think they would be easy to spot given the size of the nests, but the leaves make great camoflage for the nests,
i passed a hawthorn hedge several times on one of my walks, that had a pigeons nest in it , at about eye level, but i never new it was there until the leaves fell :roll:

spotted several of this type of Lichen among the Cladonia species today,

several Gorse bushes helped to brighten up the walk with their bright yellow flowers,

Red Dead Nettle, no surprise to see this one in flower, as i've seen it in just about every month of the year :)
