geraniums

founjd these two geraniums growing just inches apart on the path this evening,
I thought they were both the same at first glance, but looking a little closer I can see they are quite different to one another,

thanks for that, I had considered that one, but I am not very familiar with the Marasmius group, as I don't come across them very often (if at all) besides perhaps, their big cousin Marasmius oreades :)

these I found this morning are much paler in comparison, but these were out in the open, among the grass,

the first Deceiver (Laccaria laccata) of the year for me, just a solitary one,
but i'm sure there will be many more coming up soon, as there are usually hundreds of them in this spot :)
