Forum rules
the Fungi for ID Forum rules,
in the interests of user safety we have applied the following rules to this form,

Please do not post any ID requests for the edibility or for "recreational" usage, in this (or any other) board,
identification of any fungi should not be relied on from this forum (or any other for that matter) to be totally accurate, as it is very easy to mistake any fungi for another one, especially from just a photograph alone, which could prove fatal to yourself if you were to eat the said fungi,
any posts we think may contain such requests will be removed,
and we ask all members to report any such posts should they find them here on the forum.

a couple of fungi from yesterday for id if possible please,

this one is, i hope a Dacrymyces species ?
on a dead conifer branch

this one was on the fallen trunk of an unknown tree,
they are very minute, with each one being only a millimetre wide, possible on a short thin stalk ?
(too small to see properly and to get a decent image with my camera :( )

i would say yes to your Dacrymyces species, with stillatus being the most likely one,

your second one is more of a puzzler though
but i'm thinking it may be one of the Nectria species ? abut if so, which one is the question?
as there are lots of different species of Nectria out there,
and i'm far fom being knowledgeable on them i'm afraid,

thanks Forager :)
i looked up the Nectria on google, but there were quite a few different ones, so i'm still no wiser
but it does look like it could be a Nectria to me,
so unless anyone can put a name to it, i shall add it to my "likely to be ..........." list :)

i think Wood wanderer is the man for this one, as he seems to have the knowledge for these types, :D
