Peregrines at other sites

#1

Post by makman » March 20th, 2018, 9:08 pm

i had a quick scout around for other Peregrine nest cams, and came up with a few,
only three of which showed any signs of activity. (Derby & Leamington & Norwich )
Derby had a bird at the nest site, as did Norwich, while the one at Leamington had a single egg in the nest, but no sign of the bird,

of the others (Sheffield, Wakefield) both the nests were empty of both birds or eggs

heres the Derby nest derby peregine.jpg the Leamington nest Leamington.jpg the Norwich nest norwich peregrine.jpg the Sheffield nest sheffield.jpg

great to see more peregrines :)
i just had a look at those links, but the wakefield one was currently offline :( as was the derby one :(
while the Norwich one had no birds or eggs at all :(
Sheffield had a bird just visible , sat on the front of the nest box,#
while the Leamington one had a bird sitting on the egg(s)
that nest at Leamington town hall is in a much more sensible and sheltered position than any of the other sites, wise birds :)

just had a quick look at the other sites,

the nest at Leamington now has two eggs :)

Leamington.jpg

the Norwich nest has a bird sitting in the nest,
and it looks like a wet afternoon at Norwich, judging by the rain on the camera lens :(

the Sheffield nest now has an egg in the nest, with a bird sitting out on the ledge nearby :)

from a quick look at these other nests this morning, both the Derby and Wakefield nests were empty with neither birds or eggs present :( (the wakefield camera is flicking on and off, so not possible to get an image :( )
